Twitter and vampires

I just did the unthinkable...

I joined Twitter. *cue shock

Yes, I know I said it was stupid, but I joined for a good cause: A book giveaway for Foretold, an anthology of 14 stories from authors like Meg Cabot and Richelle Mead. If you want to enter, click here: http://www.shadowkissed.net/2012/05/02/giveaway-foretold-anthology/

Okay, it was a selfish reason to join twitter, but I wanted an extra entry! I mean, this book contains a story about Rose and Dimitri's journey to Russia (for those who don't know these characters, please start reading the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. It's better than Twilight.)
Here's a description of the series: "St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run, but now they’re being dragged back to St. Vladimir’s—the very place where they’re most in danger. . . .
Rose and Lissa become enmeshed in forbidden romance, the Academy’s ruthless social scene, and unspeakable nighttime rituals. But they must be careful lest the Strigoi—the world’s fiercest and most dangerous vampires—make Lissa one of them forever."

I loved this series so much. Words almost can't describe how much I loved these books. Once I picked them up, I devoured them. Rose, the main protagonist, is way kick butt, and a humorous, sarcastic, warrior. She rocks the socks off almost any female book character in the YA genre. You won't ever see her go down without a good tongue lashing, roundhouse kick, punch, stab, smack, etc...and the world of vampires is so unique. I've never heard of different vampire races existing in one book. Have you?
If you're looking for an adventure, comedy, romance (aka...Dimitri), action, mystery, and a thrillingly good time, you must read this series. If I could, I would brainwash you to start reading them....their tantalizingly good.

Speaking of vampires!
sidenote: Vampire Diaries is on tonight! Yay! (spoiler alert)...I never thought I'd say this, but, I want Alaric to die. I just hope Klaus is safe...
Let me know what you think about this week's episode.

And check out this parody by The Hillywood Show. Love them!
